Rooms
All accommodations are conveniently located on the Bilkent Campus, within walking distance of the Music Building. Our safe, tranquil and hygienic dormitory provides single and shared rooms with comfortable beds, desks, wardrobes, and mini-refrigerators. Linens, towels and unlimited high-speed internet are also provided at no additional charge. Both single and shared rooms have common bathrooms on the same floor. There are also large common kitchens, lounges and a laundry room in the building. Security guards are present 24/7. Room and roommate preferences, if applicable, must be indicated on the application form. Go to Photo Gallery
*Minors (age under 18)
Minor participants who wish to stay in the dormitory must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All accompanying adults must also apply in the Passive program to be eligible to stay in the university dormitory, and attend artistic activities with the participants.
Regular Meal Plans
Participants are encouraged to join our regular meal plans which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the campus. Designed by Bilkent University’s nutrition department, the meals are healthy and balanced (Vegetarian option available). During the meal hours, students will learn to socialise and communicate with their mentors and other participants.
Practice Rooms
All participants can freely use 50 practicing studios and pianos (Steinway, Yamaha, Kawai, and Young Chang) at the Music building. There are 20 grand pianos and 40 upright pianos. The building is open 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. everyday, 10 minuets walking distance from the dormitory. Go to Photo Gallery
Local Restaurants and Shopping Center
At Bilkent Center, located 10 minutes walking distance from the Music building, there are many delicious Turkish, Italian, and Asian restaurants and various stores available. Bank and Post Office are located on the campus.
Health Center
Participants will have access to the doctors and facilities of the Bilkent University Health Center, located just 5 minutes away from the Music Building. For insurance purposes, participants’ Turkish ID Number must be submitted on the application form. International participants who has international health insurance must email bilkentpianofestival@gmail.com about the insurance information and legal name.
Library
Participants will have full access to the campus library and its collections.
Gym
Participants are welcome to take advantage of modern facilities in two gymnasiums on the campus.
